The Realtek Asio Component is a software package, which is used as drivers for the Realtek sound card. It’s not necessary for your Realtek sound card, but it can reduce the audio latency on your computer.

Usually, downloading and updating the Realtek audio driver from the manufacturer’s website can update the Realtek Asio Component driver together. • Hi,

      Thank you for your comment.

Driver Easy Free version is partly free. You can use it to download drivers automatically and free. If you want the driver to install automatically, you’ll need to upgrade to the Pro version.

  1. I don’t have the Realtek Audio ASIO component under software components. Does this mean my HP Pavillion Plus does not support ASIO?

I’ve managed to install the drivers using ‘add drivers’ but they are not attached to any devices.

I guess that means that only certain types of Realtek audio chips support ASIO?
My desktop does have Realtek ASIO support on motherboard B660M-DS3H-DDR4-rev-10
