There are nine methods below you can try to fix your Lost Ark high ping issue. Try them one by one until you find the one that works for you.

Method 1: Connect to another server
The Lost Ark server you choose to connect can influence the ping times. If the server is in a region far from you, you probably will experience the high ping issue.
Lost Ark has a ton of servers for you to choose from, for example, West North America servers, East North America servers, Central Europe servers, etc. To fix the high ping issue, you can try different servers until you find the region that best suits your ping needs and keeps ping in low status.
If Method 1 doesn’t work for you, continue to try Method 2.
Method 2: Restart your router and modem
To fix the Lost Ark high ping issue, you can try restarting your router and modem. To do so, you can follow the below steps. It’s easy and quick.
1) Power off your router and modem.
2) Unplug the power cable from the router and modem.
3) Wait for a few minutes like 5 minutes.
4) Plug the power cable back into the router and modem.
5) Power on the router and modem and check to see if the high ping issue still persists.
If Method 2 doesn’t work for you, continue to try Method 3.
Method 3: Verify integrity of game files
Corrupted or missing game files can cause Lost Ark high ping issues. To fix the issue, you can try verifying the integrity of game files through Steam to repair and replace any corrupted or missing game files. Here’s how to do it:
1) Launch Steam.
2) Right-click on Lost Ark in your Library and then select Properties.
3) Click the Local Files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files… button. Then Steam will start verifying the game files. It may take several minutes for the process to complete. Please wait until the process is done.
4) Once done, restart your computer.
5) Launch Lost Ark from Steam, check to see if the high ping issue is fixed.
If Method 3 doesn’t work for you, move ahead to try Method 4.
Method 4: Flush DNS
To fix your Lost Ark high ping issue, you can try flushing DNS. To do that, follow these steps:
1) On your keyboard, press Win+R (the Windows logo key and the R key) at the same time to invoke the Run box.
2) Type “cmd” into the Run box and then press Enter. Then the Command Prompt window will open.
3) In the Command Prompt window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter. After that, you should see a message confirming that the DNS Resolver Cache was successfully flushed.
4) Restart your computer.
5) Launch Lost Ark and check to see if the high ping issue is fixed.
If flushing DNS doesn’t resolve the problem, you can try changing the DNS. See Method 5.
Method 5: Change DNS
Changing your DNS to google’s public DNS may help fix the high ping issue. To do so:
1) On your keyboard, press Win+I (the Windows logo key and the I key) at the same time to open the Windows Settings window.
2) Select Network & Internet.
3) Click on Change adapter options.
4) Right-click on the network device you’re currently using and select Properties.
5) Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties.
6) Select Use the following DNS server addresses, then change the Preferred DNS server and the Alternate DNS server as follows:
Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
7) Click OK to save the changes.
8) Restart your computer.
9) Launch Lost Ark and check to see if the high ping issue is resolved.
If Method 5 doesn’t work for you, try Method 6.
Method 6: Disable third-party applications
To fix Lost Ark high ping issues, you can try disabling third-party applications.
When you’re playing Lost Ark, there may be some other third-party applications running in the background which may take up high amounts of bandwidth. Disabling those applications could save certain amounts of bandwidth so Lost Ark can have more bandwidth. In that case, the high ping issue may be resolved.
You can follow these steps to disable third-party applications:
1) Right-click on the Start menu button at the bottom left corner of the desktop and select Task Manager.
2) Under the Processes tab, click Network to filter applications by their network usage.
3) Select the application or task taking up high amounts of bandwidth and click on End task.
4) Repeat step 3) to close all other applications or tasks taking up bandwidth.
Once done, restart your computer. Launch Lost Ark and check to see if the high ping issue still persists.
If Method 6 doesn’t work for you, continue to try Method 7.
Method 7: Disable your Proxy & VPN
While paying Lost Ark, don’t use VPN or Proxy as they can cause connectivity issues such as the high ping issues. If you have Proxy or VPN enabled, disable them then check to see if this helps resolve the high ping issue.
You can follow these steps to disable your Proxy & VPN:
1) Open Control Panel.
To open Control Panel, press the Windows logo key, type “control panel” and then select “Control Panel” from the result.
2) View by Large icons and click on Internet Options.
3) Under the Connections tab, click on LAN settings.
4) Check the box next to Automatically detect settings is checked, and uncheck the box next to Use a proxy server for your LAN .
5) Click OK to save the changes.
6) Disconnect your VPN if you’re using it.
7) Launch Lost Ark and test your ping times.
If the high ping issue still persists, try Method 9.
Method 8: Switch to a wired connection
A wireless connection can easily cause packet loss and then cause the high ping issue. While playing Lost Ark, if you’re on a wireless connection, you can switch it to a wired connection and see if it helps fix the high ping issue.
Connect your computer directly to your router or modem then you will be on a wired connection.
Before that, you’ll need to disable your computer’s wireless adapter to ensure it’s not being used. To disable the wireless adapter:
1) On your keyboard, press Win+R to invoke the Run box.
2) Type “ncpa.cpl” into the Run box and then press Enter.
3) Right-click on your wireless adapter and select Disable.
You may want to re-enable your wireless adapter if it’s not the cause of the high ping issue. To re-enable the wireless adapter, just right-click on it and select Enable.
