Origin keeps stuck in offline mode and you won’t go online? Not to worry. You can fix the error with one of the methods below. Just try the methods one by one until you find the one that works.

Method 1: Allow Origin through firewall
When Origin keeps stuck in offline mode, the first thing you can check is if it’s authorized in firewall. In some cases, the program can be taken out of defender list and you need to add it back manually. Follow these steps:
1) On your keyboard, press Win+I (the Windows logo key and the I key) to invoke the Settings window.
2) Select Network & Internet.
3) Click on Windows Firewall.
4) Click on Allow an app through Firewall.
5) Scroll down and locate Origin, and then ensure both the Private box and the Public box is checked.
If you haven’t found Origin in the list, follow these steps to add it manually:
a. Click the Changes settings button.
b. Click the Allow another app… button.
c. Click Browse…
d. Navigate to the installation directory of Origin (the default directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin).
e. Select the Origin.exe file and then click the Open button.
f. Click Add.
g. Check the boxes of Private and Public, and then click OK to save the changes.
6) Restart your computer and check to see if the error still occurs.
If Method 1 doesn’t fix the error, continue to try Method 2.
Method 2: Set date and time correctly
Incorrect system date and time can cause your Origin to keep stuck in offline mode. So check the date and time in your system. Set them correctly if you need.
1) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key.
2) Type “date” and then select Date & time settings from the result list.
3) Ensure the toggle of Set time automatically is set to On.
4) Ensure the Time zone is on where you live.
5) Once done, restart your computer and check if the error still occurs.
If the error still occurs, you can try Method 3.
Method 3: Configure proxy server settings
Some Origin users have reported that the error was caused by incorrect proxy server settings, and configuring the proxy server settings resolved their problem. You can give it a try. Here’s how to do it:
1) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key.
2) Type “cmd”, and then select Command Prompt -> Run as administrator.
3) At the Command Prompt window, type the following command, and then press Enter:
netsh winhttp import proxy source=ie
4) Restart your computer and check to see if the error is resolved.
If the error still occurs, try Method 4.
Method 4: Disable proxy server
If configuring proxy server settings doesn’t work, you can try disabling proxy server. To do so:
1) Open Control Panel.
2) View by Large icons and click on Internet Options.
3) Go to the Connections tab and click the LAN settings button.
4) Check the box next to Automatically detect settings, and uncheck the box next to Use a proxy server for your LAN.
5) Click OK to save the changes.
6) Restart your computer and check to see if you’re still facing the error.
If the error still occurs, try Method 5.
Method 5: Run Origin as an administrator
To fix the Origin stuck in offline mode error, you can try running Origin as an administrator. Here’s how to do it.
1) Go to the installation directory of Origin (the default directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin).
2) Right-click on Origin.exe and select Properties.
3) Go to the Compatibility tab and check the box next to Run this program as an administrator.
4) Click OK to save the changes.
5) Relaunch Origin and check to see if the error still persists.
If the error still occurs, try the next method.
Method 6: Disable antivirus software
Some antivirus software can block Origin and cause it to keep stuck in offline mode. If you have any antivirus software installed, you can temporarily disable them and see if it helps.
Important: While the antivirus software is disabled, be extra careful what site you visit, what files you download and what emails you open, as the system is not protected at that moment.
After troubleshooting, if you ensure the error r is not caused by antivirus software, remember to enable the antivirus software again.
Method 7: Do a clean installation of Origin
If none of the above methods works, the last method you can try is to do a clean installation of Origin.
Firstly, uninstall Origin from your computer.
1) Right-click on the Start menu button and select Apps and Features.
2) Select Origin and then click on Uninstall.
3) After completely uninstalling Origin from your PC, delete the folders related to Origin.
Secondly, download and install the latest version of Origin from its official site. After installation completes, launch Origin and check to see if the error is fixed.
