Method 1: Run Steam as administrator
To fix New World won’t launch issues, the first simple quick workaround you can try is to run Steam as administrator.
Here’s how to run Steam as administrator:
Before you run Steam as administrator, ensure you’ve quitted New World and stopped Steam.
1) Open Start.
2) Search for Steam, right-click on the top result and then select Open file location…
3) Right-click on the Steam shortcut and select Properties.
4) Go to the Shortcut tab and then click the Advanced button.
5) Check the Run as administrator option and then click the OK button.
6) Click the Apply -> OK button.
Open Steam again and try to run New World.
Method 2: Verify integrity of game files
If the New World files are corrupted or missing, the game won’t launch properly. To fix the issue, you can try to use the “Verify integrity of game files” feature in Steam, which allows you to detect and repair corrupted files or replace missing files.
Here’s how to verify integrity of game files:
1) Open Steam.
2) Right-click on New World in your library and then select Properties.
3) Click the Local Files tab and then click the Verify integrity of game files… button. Then Steam will start verifying the game files. This process may take several minutes. Please wait until the process is complete.
Once done, check to see if you can launch New World properly.
Method 3: Change screen resolution
According to some players, an improper screen resolution can cause New World not to launch. So you can check the screen resolution on your PC and change it if necessary.

1) Open Settings.
