Steam Games Not Showing in Library? Here’s How to Fix It!

Method 1: Make sure your purchase is completed

If it’s your newly purchased game not showing up in the Steam Library, it’s possible that your purchase is not completed.

First, you should check if you received a receipt from Steam via email. If you didn’t receive a receipt, your purchase may still be pending. In that case, you can find the purchase in your purchase history so you can get more details about this purchase.

Here’s how to check the purchase history:

1) Launch and log into your Steam Client.

2) Click on your account and then select Account details.

4) Select the purchase that you encounter the problem with then you’ll get more details about it.

If the purchase was completed, you can try logging out of the Steam Client and logging back in which may fix the problem.

Method 2: Check filter settings in Steam

If the filter is set incorrectly, you may not see your game in the Library. For example, if you have the filter “Installed” selected, you can see the installed games but cannot see the newly purchased games in your Library. So ensure the filter is set correctly so that all games are visible in your Library.

Go to your Steam Library, click the header button for a drop-down list, make sure all checkboxes are selected.

Method 3: Manually make the game show up in Library

Generally, the game will show up in the Library automatically. But in some cases, you may need to make the game show up in the Library manually.

To do so:

1) Open and log in to the Steam Client.

2) Click Help at the top and then select Steam Support.

3) Select Games, Software, etc.

4) Search for the game that’s not showing up in the search box, for example, typing “pubg”.

5) Under Products, select the game you’re missing.

6) Select It’s not in my library.

7) Select View product in library. After that, check if the game shows up in your Library.

Method 4: Remove from Hidden

There are chances that the game has been added to the hidden list. You can check and remove the game from the hidden list if you need. Here’s how:

1) Launch and log in to the Steam Client.

2) Click View at the top and then select Hidden Games.

3) Check if the game shows up in the hidden list.

If the game shows up in the hidden list, you can remove it from the list. To remove a game from the hidden list: Right-click on the game, select Manage and then select Remove from Hidden. After that, the game will show up in your Library,

Method 5: Clear Steam’s download cache

If none of the above methods works, the last resort you can try is to clear Steam’s download cache. Here’s how:

1) Launch and log in to the Steam Client.

2) Go to Steam > Settings.

3) Click on Downloads and then click on CLEAR DOWNLOAD CACHE.
