Why can’t I see the AppData folder on my Windows 10? That’s because…
Windows applications store their data and settings in the AppData folder. Most Windows users never need to know the folder exists. So it’s hidden on Windows by default.
How can I find the AppData folder?
The AppData folder is easily accessible. If you want to find the folder, you can configure the settings via File Explorer to show the hidden files on the system. Here’s how to do it:
1) Open File Explorer.
2) Click the View tab on File Explorer’s ribbon and click the Hidden items checkbox in the Show/Hide section.
3) Navigate to C:\Users\Name, then you’ll see the AppData folder which is shaded. Name represents your user’s name. For example, if your user’s name is Leo, navigate to C:\Users\Leo.
If you don’t have to see the folder and just want to access it, you can follow these steps:
1) Open File Explorer.
2) Copy and paste %appdata% to the address bar and press Enter to open the Appdata/Roaming folder.
3) Click AppData in the address bar to access the AppData folder. Once it’s open, you’ll see there are three folders inside it.
