If your PC meets the minimum system requirements, go ahead to try other methods.

Method 2: Verify the game files

The stuck on loading screen error can be caused by corrupted or missing game files. You can have Steam verify the game files. If the game files are corrupted or missing, the verification process can fix and restore the files.

You can follow these steps to verify the game files:

1) Launch Steam.

2) Right-click on New World in your library and then select Properties.

3) Click the Local Files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files… button. Then Steam will start verifying the game files. This process may take several minutes. Please wait until the process is complete.

Outdated graphics card drivers can also be the cause. To fix the error, you can try updating the graphics card driver.

You can update the graphics card driver via Device Manager:

1) Open Device Manager (learn how to access Device Manager).

2) Expand category “Display adapters”. Right-click on your graphics card device and then select Update driver.

If Method 3 doesn’t work for you, you can try Method 4.

Method 4: Delete saved data

Some New World users have reported that deleting saved data helped them fix the infinite loading screen error. You can also try this method and see if it works for you. Here’s how to do it:

1) Press Win+R keys to open the Run box.

2) Type %appdata% into the Run box and click the OK button.

3) Go to AppData > Roaming > AGS > New World.

5) Restart your computer and launch New World to see if the error still occurs.

If the error still occurs, try the next method.

  1. I’ve done everything listed in this article and still my game just sits on the New World logo. Ive rolled back all the driver updates I did today. The game worked perfect this morning, game crashed, now when I start the game, it sits on the New World logo, when I right click on the icon at the bottom and click exit, the new world logo goes away, but if i start my task master, there is a new world process still running under background processes. Please help
