How to Fix Bluetooth Icon Missing from Action Center Issue

When you see bluetooth not showing up in the Action Center, there are two scenarios you may be facing.

Scenario 1: The bluetooth operates normally but doesn’t show up in Action Center due to the incorrect settings. In this case, Method 1 and Method 2 can work for the problem.

Method 2: Enable bluetooth in Action Center from File Explorer

Another way to enable bluetooth in the Action Center is through File Explorer. Here’s how to do it:

1) Open File Explorer.

2) Open C:\ -> Windows -> System32

4) Select either Send files or Receive files, then click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the procedure.

If the bluetooth icon is still not showing up in the Action Center, it’s possible that there’s something wrong with the connection between the bluetooth device and the system. The following methods may help resolve the problem.


Method 3: Run Bluetooth Troubleshooter

Whenever bluetooth is not working properly, running a troubleshooter might help find and fix the problem for you.

You can follow these steps to run bluetooth troubleshooter to fix the “bluetooth not in Action Center” problem.

1) On your keyboard, press Win+I (the Windows logo key and the I key) to open the Settings window.

2) Select Updates & Security.

3) Click Troubleshoot in the left pane. Then in the right pane, click on the Additional troubleshooters link.

4) Under “Find and fix other problems”, click Bluetooth -> Run the troubleshooter.

1) On your keyboard, press Win+R (the Windows logo key and the R key) at the same time to invoke the Run box.

2) Type “services.msc” into the Run box and click OK to open the Services window.

4) In the General tab, set the Startup type as Automatic, then click Apply -> OK to save the changes. If it’s been set as Automatic, restart the service.

Method 5: Update bluetooth drivers

The problem can be caused by faulty or outdated drivers. The last method you can try is to update the bluetooth drivers.

You can manually download the bluetooth driver from the PC manufacturer’s website. Usually, you can download the drivers from the SUPPORT page of the PC manufacturer’s website.
